Welcome to my home town. Ahh yes, The Boss did sing about his home town didn't he? I
am born and raised in Jersey, and although I am sure there are nicer places to live, this is
my home. From Philly and all of Jersey, I am comfortable here (EXCLUDING Newark).

I love the Phillies. I originally purchased Season's Tickets just to watch Lance Parrish catch. Manoman! I know they have had some better years, but I am the one that sits during 2 hour rain delays no matter what. I have the deepest regards for Harry Kallas and Richy Ashburn. My walkman is filled with their voice during the game. I don't know how anyone can know if a ball was low and inside without play by plays in your ear.
Another love of mine in South Jersey is the shore, Wildwood (WATCH THE TRAM CAR PLEASE), Ocean City, Cape May. The Boardwalks are beautiful day and magic at night. If you ever get down there, be sure to stop at Morey's Pier and ride that giant wheel or the new roller coaster The Nor'easter. You are suspended in the car and your feet dangle down. KEWL!
Kohr's Bro's Ice-Cream ( I like the orange sherbert & vanilla twirl ), Mack's Pizza, and all the T-shirts you can imagine are there. I know Wildwood like the back of my hand. My best friend and I would ride down in the middle of the night to have Scrapple ( HEY!, I LIKE SCRAPPLE ) and eggs at The Top Hat. Scrapple? Yes, a Philadelphia tradition. I eat mine with ketchup, but the Amish ( Pennsylvania Dutch )use maple syrup. Well it's grey before and after it's cooked. It's made of... well... er... humm... Jezz, I don't wanna know, but I love it!. <S>
Cape May is very Victorian. They are full of Bed and Breakfasts'. I always drive there from
Wildwood for the day, as it is just down Rt 9. A bit conservative, but it is a nice day. Ocean City
is a dry town and quiet compared to Wildwood, but go anyway for Johnson's Carmel Corn.

Some other things I like about my home is the art here. The Franklin Institute is one of the
coolest place to stomp in Philadelphia. I could be there a week day and night, and still have not
seen and played with everything. Even at 38 years old, that electricity room still scares me, but I
go in anyway.
The Planetarium is awesome, so is the
Heart (<---You just GOTTA see this page!!) you
walk through. I like to watch the pendulum swing and knock over the pawns that mark the
minutes from the big clock.
Across the street is The Art Museum. Again, a week there, and I would still need more tyme.
See if you can run up the steps! Yes, where Rocky ran up those steps. By the way, the statue
from the Rocky movie, which was filmed in South Philly, is home in front of The Spectrum. I
have seen many great concerts there. It is sad to see things go though. Veterans Stadium is gone.
I was privileged to have been among the crowds to see LIVE-AID. Manoman. Was it hot, but I
had one of the best tymes of my life, (I don't remember most of it, but it was my Woodstock). I
remember watching them drag race on Friday and Saturday night's. Inches away from death, it
was cool, and I miss it.
Tastykake
Butterscotch and jelly Krimpet, peanut butter kandykakes...
Are to DIE for!
Eat your heart out California!!!
I have listened to 93.3 WMMR as my radio station for YEARS. I detest Bullshit on the radio
station and I don't get any here. Keep it up guy's! Now send me a T-shirt or something! <s>
Channel 6 has always been my news station. Unlike other news stations in Philadelphia, the crew
on Channel 6 have been together for years. It is really much like a family. Jim Gardner is a real
guy. I remember the day many years ago, while watching at dinner tyme, a tearful Jim announced
that Weatherman Jim O'BRIEN had died while parachute jumping. I cried like a baby, and as I
write this now, I am filled up again. I also remember the "New" weatherman coming to take his
place. I thought, he MUST be joking. Well... years later, I have the same respect for Dave
Roberts and I'm glad you have kept your career in Philadelphia with WPVI. The news is not
often a nice thing to watch, but when I have people that I trust telling me, it's not so bad.
Thankyou Channel 6 for your professionalism.
Another place that makes life cool here is my diner. MY<--? Diner? Yes! <S> It is called "Crystal
Lake Diner." Located on Cuthbert Road in Westmont, NJ. God I love it there. I went there
when it first opened, and go once a week. A special thanks to Michael, one of the owners, who
ALWAYS makes everyone that walks thru that door feel like they are special.
Below are a few other things that are of interest to me, along with all the links above if you
missed them. I hope you have enjoyed yourself looking at what makes me happy.

I got no time for the corner boys
Down in the street making all that noise
Or the girls out on the avenue
`Cause tonight I wanna be with you
Tonight I'm gonna take that ride
Across the river to the Jersey side
Take my baby to the carnival
And I'll take her on all the rides
`Cause down the shore everything's all right
You and your baby on a Saturday night
You know all my dreams come true
When I'm walking down the street with you
Sha la la la la la la
Sha la la la la la la la la
Sha la la la la la la
Sha la la la I'm in love with a Jersey girl
You know she thrills me with all her charms
When I'm wrapped up in my baby's arms
My little girl gives me everything
I know that some day she'll wear my ring
So don't bother me man I ain't got no time
I'm on my way to see that girl of mine
`Cause nothing matters in this whole wide world
When you're in love with a Jersey girl
Sha la la la...
I see you on the street and you look so tired
I know that job you got leaves you so uninspired
When I come by to take you out to eat
You're lyin' all dressed up on the bed baby fast asleep
Go in the bathroom and put your makeup on
We're gonna take that little brat of yours and drop her off at your mom's
I know a place where the dancing's free
Now baby won't you come with me
`Cause down the shore everything's all right
You and your baby on a Saturday night
Nothing matters in this whole wide world
When you're in love with a Jersey girl

OK OK... I just have to:
In the day we sweat it out in the streets of a runaway American dream
At night we ride through mansions of glory in suicide machines
Sprung from cages out on highway 9,
Chrome wheeled, fuel injected and steppin' out over the line
Baby this town rips the bones from your back
It's a death trap, it's a suicide rap
We gotta get out while we're young
`Cause tramps like us, baby we were born to run
Wendy let me in I wanna be your friend
I want to guard your dreams and visions
Just wrap your legs round these velvet rims
and strap your hands across my engines
Together we could break this trap
We'll run till we drop, baby we'll never go back
Will you walk with me out on the wire
`Cause baby I'm just a scared and lonely rider
But I gotta find out how it feels
I want to know if love is wild, girl I want to know if love is real
Beyond the Palace hemi-powered drones scream down the boulevard
The girls comb their hair in rearview mirrors
And the boys try to look so hard
The amusement park rises bold and stark
Kids are huddled on the beach in a mist
I wanna die with you Wendy on the streets tonight
In an everlasting kiss
The highway's jammed with broken heroes on a last chance power drive
Everybody's out on the run tonight but there's no place left to hide
Together Wendy we'll live with the sadness
I'll love you with all the madness in my soul
Someday girl I don't know when we're gonna get to that place
Where we really want to go and we'll walk in the sun
But till then tramps like us baby we were born to run
