Bitter Song

Bitter Song

Burned in my heart; yesteryear,
I; only chosen for my goodness.
She, forgot the equation of amour.
I; merely shelter, in mankind’s storm,

Life’s choices, not weighed by joined views;
she, drew-on the balance of self ego.
Sculpted by nonchalant promises,
laced with false hopes and dreams,

Married; to sheath happiness,
only cloaked her autonomous nuptial.
She tapped her foot to time,
until the day of ambush,

I; once sought melody of blesses,
now begone; unto dark papers of dissolve.
My lost love in life’s race, has left this soul
taste flat notes of bitter song.
