i've never known
as though who penned
could only groan
muttering in comparison
to the empowered love
rising to deliver
as giving child
bringing newness
in pain but quietly
with purpose
denying love incomplete
to find truth and strength
driven by love
to forsake love
survive to love again
seek and find total soul
no compromise
time's test nods
with ancient smile
love conquers without mercy now
and renders powerless all else
what shall stand in time?
that is not love?
only such a love
alone and strong
someday be then joined
to love again
and no less than
fulness and spirit complete
