-Shadows of Me-
What shadows cover this hollow grave
While I, on this fair earth, must save
A life from quick destruction
And the evils of corruption
In a vain but volatile world.
But in the grasp of mortal demons
Who captured stars while they were dreaming
Is the heart of every angel every descended to earth.
And all the vice of the mercy of one soul
Will not complete me or fill another's hole
That has formed by curiosity
And sheer want of animosity
Since it was never tasted before.
And all that has died inside me
Was just a shadow born to hide me
Just a lonely ghost, and will never be anything more.
