I swallow your love and honor
as I take the things you need.
Then I give you emptiness and hatred
with a dash of pain and greed!
I plucked the wings from Lucifer
as he tumbled helpless from his grace
I put that look of terror
on your father’s frozen face.
You confuse me in your ignorance
not knowing who I am...
So, I will tell you...
As the lion told the lamb.
I am your altered ego
and I hold you when your high
just to watch you beat your soul
