The Love Poems of Men
Posted by Sdoic
The love poems of men are filled with passion: agonized declarations of eternal devotion, every line written without her written in pain. Language is made only to praise her: her hair, her skin, her breasts. The love poems of women are more questioning, more cautious, slowly written and slowly meant, rarely making reference to eternity or to hair-- or else they are laced with allusions to the probable impermanence of the lover in question. Perhaps this is because even the most passionate love leaves sheets to be washed, floors to be swept. Sdoic
