Twilight Mood.

Now that rain has stopped and
the mountain range is a sharp
pencil stroke against a pale
sky and the rain lake is moody
blue aware of its transient nature,
nights are winter cold and dark.

Now that chimney smoke scents
still air and my cottage old walls
whisper of those who lived here
before, will you come and share
this life with me or shall I have
to wait a little longer?
