Even now
In the dead of the night
I shiver
And my arms embrace nothing but the darkness
And pain corses through my veins
To rummage within my mind
My soul
My heart
It never ends
As much as it might try
I feel so filthy
So dirty
And the spots don't come out
My life flashes before my eyes
As I stand there
Looking in the mirror
Trying to catch grips upon reality
Something
Anything
I'm looking for a tangible object
A hand
A light to help me seek my way from this wretched darkness
I keep falling
No matter how far I feel I have climbed
As I sleep I am pushed
And I fall back down again
Only to wake and realize it shall never change
An exhausint upward struggle
That never ends
Speak
Speak with that fluid silver tongue
Like liquid
Like lightning
Biting and stinging its way to the top
Caress all the way back down
And let fingers caress my breast
Only to later be bitten off
And spat back in your face
Look at me fly!
Look at me fall!
Look at me dance in the wind
Like so many a colorful leaf
And away I move

Jump and close your eyes

Dot your eyes
Cross your teas
