Life passes you by -------------------------
In the beginning everything is beyond wonder,
There are no notions to ponder, No worries of the future
Life is just passing you by in a happy gist
But within a breaths eye
The Dark starts to seep in, fear introduces its horizon and emotions
fall high
The struggle to survive creeps in
The innocence passes you by
You wonder what lies ahead
Trials, tribulations for success and endeavor
The sweat of the brow the essence of youth
For some it’s a wonder for others it’s an odyssey
For some the lights go out
Worse, for others Life goes on
Lust for substance, amorous or solid
It all starts to settle as Life passes you by
Many a dream is shattered, for some it’s fulfilled
Contentment, misery and vulnerability
Pride, fear & vice
All happens on a busy globe
There is always a void
As life passes us by
Till the bitter or prosperous end
As the wise once cited
An Island surrounded by death
We never cease to wonder or ponder
As life finally passes us by
