Sweetly I Mellowed

Around four years ago
This writing began
Words tumbling out
With no specific plan

Emotions spilling forth
Teardrops to flow
At times analyzing
Which parts to show

At first pen to paper
Then onto a screen
Examined by detail
Are parts of me seen

With a fluency to flow
Emotions exposing
Sometimes unable
I hesitate supposing

Attempting and trying
With heart into text
I’m nothing unique
Pondering what next

Another poetry page
Old ones yellowed
Wisdom with aging
Sweetly I mellowed
