Overwhelming Me

I’ve never been so frightened by a feeling,
so shaken by a soul
coming faster then I can fend
don’t think that I can trust my reason
when it comes to you…
you’re just too beautiful
too much of everything I need
you’re simply overwhelming me.I used to doubt in miracles,
then God gave breath to you
and now my eyes can’t turn,
my heart knows no release.
You’re so much sweeter
than I ever thought someone could be
and now I’m drowning in a dream,
you’re simply overwhelming me. And I’m scared
of this want,
petrified to need
when each smile becomes a prayer
resonating out to me.
Don’t think that I can trust my reason
when it comes to you
for I’ve never had a desire
which burned so openly
so how can I be strong
when you’re simply overwhelming me ?
