a story of love

A Middle Aged Love StoryYou stood in front of me at the newsagent, couldn’t make up your mind which magazine to buy. I wanted to my morning paper, slurred something about women not being able to make up their mind. You turned, angrily retorted and we had our first row before we even knew each other. Then we laughed, I fell in love and invited you for coffee. At the cafe table I talked and talked feared that you mightn’t like me get up and leave. Didn’t stop before you bent over kissed me smack on my lips. Blushed I did, your laugher, brimful of melodious love. So elegant - speak posh too- teasing green eyes and softly, like the mild breeze of May, you walk upon this earth. While I’m an argumentative bull elephant that adores a graceful doe and is forever grateful for her love.
