E-MAIL PROTECT

Now there are two ways to E-MAIL PROTECT your work.

|| QUICK E-MAIL PROTECT - HOW IT WORKS ||

To keep your ownership rights in tact, I have made it super fast and easy for you to do. Most here do utilize E-MAL PROTECT, but it is my hope that you ALL<-- use it now. By submitting your name, E-mail address and title of the work to Spyder's Empire BEFORE you post your work to the forum, you stake © claim to the world of the work posted on this forum. Also NOTE: When you click the button, will be immediately returned to the SUBMIT YOUR WORK button for posting.
All of your work typed into the forum form will still be there
.

This is what your E-MAIL PROTECT looks like to me when I receive it at Spyder's Empire.

Every E-MAIL PROTECT I receive, is filled away to floppy disk in hopes I never have to use them.. but they are there if I do.

( The Original )
|| E-MAIL PROTECT - HOW IT WORKS - LONG VERSION ||

To ensure that you are the original author of the work you are submitting, and retain credit to that fact, take a moment to E-mail me a COPY of the piece you are going to submit now. Do this BEFORE you submit so you don't forget. It is as simple as copying and pasting your work right off the form into mail. When I receive the E-mail, I will file it for reference. It is so important, that because most of you do not have a © on your work, that it is protected in some way by people spamminmg my site or worse yet, publishing your work without acknowledgment as the original writer. If I retain a copy of the work, in addition to your post on the site, it may be proven 100% that you are the original author of the work. This will send a clear warning message to the unscrupulous people that think they can spam Spyder's Poetry Empire for un-copyrighted work.

NOTE: COPY AND PASTE your work in the e-mail letter to Spyder's Empire ONLY. DO NOT SEND FILES.
Spyder's Empire does NOT accept files.

You will find a "E-MAIL PROTECT" link right next to the submit button. USE IT. You can never be in that much of a hurry, that you can't take 1 minute to protect yourself from thieves.

If you need help in learning how to copy and paste, read on below.

|| Copy And Pasting Lesson 101 ||

Once you have written your work, follow these steps:

  1. Go back to the beginning of the text of your work. Position the cursor to the left of the first letter of the top line.
  2. Use your mouse and right click. A box will appear, select "SELECT ALL." All of your text in that box will be highlighted.
    WARNING AND CAUTION: if you press any key at all on your keyboard, POOF, your work is gone. After you wake up from your faint, go up to the menu of your browser, select EDIT, then UNDO. It is back, and your breathing and heart rate will slowly return to normal. Your text will then still be highlighted as it was before.
  3. Right click your mouse again, the same box appears, click on COPY. You will see nothing happen, but all of your work has been copied to the clipboard. Now, USE YOUR MOUSE button and click anywhere on the text to deselect it.
    Careful here... if disappears, read the warning and caution above in red.
  4. Now go to the "E-MAIL PROTECT" link next to the submit button and click it. It will bring up an E-mail letter to you. Notice that the Subject line will already have "Title" written there. Add the title of your work NEXT TO THE WORD "Title". Go to the body of the message, right click your mouse button. You will see that box again, PASTE. You will then see your work in the body of the letter. Please sign the bottom with your name and date it please. It will then be filed and retained with all of the original work submitted to Spyder's Poetry Empire.
