" Only Loving You "
For all the wrong I've done through out my whole life.
The only thing I done right was making you my wife.
Though I've never gave you diamonds, nor a mink stole.
For me the finer things in life is having you to hold.
There's nothing on this earth that I wouldn't do.
If you ask I would get it, I swear this to you.
The vows that we took still mean the same today.
And all I can do is hope you feel the same way.
But if you ever fall out of love, please don't let me know.
For I couldn't bare the pain of having to let you go.
In the words of this poem, from my heart there true.
I'll never love another as much as I love you ..
" A Prayer Carved In Wood "
Well, I went out for a walk one day to try to clear my mind.
I took my walk down the tracks out back where I found a wooden sign.
Right there under the sign stood a tattered wooden cross,
with a mothers prayer carved on it for the sons she had lost.
The sign read this is where her little angels last played.
Their names were both carved and underlined was a date.
I knelt down to pick up some things I had found,
like a small toy truck and some marbles on the ground.
I carefully placed them back in under a little oak tree,
but that cross that bared a prayer, will always stay with me.
At the end was carved, their with Jesus now, was wrote.
The prayer carved in wood ended with God bless them both.
" Did You Know"
Did you know your the first thought on my mind in the morning when I awake from dreams of you.
For even the sun that sets in the horizon can't compare to your beauty that shines through.
Your never far from my heart and your image is etched within my mind.
Your voice is like a burning candle, soft, yet strong enough for light.
" Enough"
I called your name from a slumbering sleep and suddenly, you were there within my dream.
You took my hand and we walked so slow.
We walked for hours on a deserted road.
Your beauty was so stunning I couldn't believe my eyes.
Its as if you were an angel getting ready to fly.
Not a word was exchanged for there seemed to be no need.
Just to hold your hand was quite enough for me.
" Count Your Blessings Not Your Burdens"
Count your blessings, not your burdens on a little sign I found.
On the back streets by a small church in a little country town.
Seems we've all had some bad times and its so hard remembering the good, but if we thanked God for our blessings our burdens would be so few.
" Love Is A Kingdom"
Love is a kingdom where there's devotion and delight.
There's always affection and fondness like in each breathe of life.
Every minute away seems an hour for each one past.
Anticipation grows stronger until you see them at last.
If love could be bottled it would be worth more than gold.
Nothing could take the place of the treasure you would hold.
Its been said that love is in the eye of the beholder, is this true. So I'll end this with my idea and leave the rest up to you.
To me love is forever and will be carried to my grave, because love is a kingdom and in my heart and soul it will remain.
" Scared"
I was heading home one evening and it was getting kind of late.
When my car stalled on a sharp curve just off old highway eight.
I've heard tales of this stretch of road almost all my life.
Where some folks say they've heard things near the bridge late at night.
I saw a shadow in the distance then felt a presence by my side.
When I turned to see what it was I was alone on a moonlit night.
So I took off walking faster determined not to turn around.
I could hear footsteps behind me pounding upon the ground.
No more room in my mind to wonder who or what was there.
I escaped with only my body for my mind is still there.
" Fast Asleep In His Arms"
Today, the family will gather to pay our respect to the tiniest angel as we lay her down to rest.
Her parents set up in front, grandparents by their side.
As the chapel fills with tears the congregation says goodbye.
There's a new glow up in heaven with the tiniest wings.
A smile that lights the stars so we here can see.
Jesus rushed the angels to bring the small one home.
She's resting now with Jesus fast asleep in his arms.
In the arms of Jesus she's rocked asleep.
The angels all surround her to caress her tiny wings.
Though we all may miss her she'll never be far.
She's resting now with Jesus, Fast asleep in his arms.
" A Little Passion"
Has our passion for others faded away over the years.
This world is getting faster seems no one really cares.
I know men who work hard for their treasure of little worth.
Lost passions for others on their quest to own this earth.
Have we measured our whole existence on how much we can buy.
From the size of the house we live in or to the type of car we drive.
Must we fill our pockets full then turn our back to friends.
If we could only find our passion there's reward in the end.
Its been said in life we're all dealt with a losing hand, but time will only tell what's in God's master plan.
All the doors in God's house are open for us wide, But passion will be one thing we'll need to get in side.
So can we show a little passion and help others when we can.
Try and love one another and maybe lend a helping hand.
Like the old cliché goes, You reap what you sow.
So lets not lose our place in heaven for the likes of this worlds gold.
" A Man Such As Me"
Dear God, our creator of all life on earth, I would like to make amends for the ones I have hurt.
I still hear their voices and see the tears in their eyes.
I'm sorry God for making the ones I love cry.
Dear Jesus, our savior who holds heavens key, would you please forgive a man such as me?
Dear Jesus, can you guide me in what's left of my life?
I need you, I pray this, in your name tonight.
So dear Lord in heaven, you hold the key.
Will you help and forgive a man such as me?
Amen
