"Upon Angel's Wing"

As I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
I stop for a moment in hopes of catching my breath.
And I think back on all the times I've loved and lost,
On all the dreams and hopes that I've tossed.
If you walk in my shoes, they will hurt your feet
For my path is filled with greed pain and deceit.
My eternal questions have received answers long dead,
I've been blinded by all the truth-less words you've said.
As I lay me down to sleep,
I put my head in my hands and weep.
But wait until morning when I awaken,
You'll never know my soul's been taken
I will get up and walk out of the shadow tall
Not once will you begin to see me stumble to fall.
I refuse to go silently into the darkness of night,
For my eyes are still filled with so much light.

"Holy Cross"

Father and son
Walk like Holy Ghost,
And hour ago
The last train left for the coast.

With the devil's only child;

As your frozen body

There you find greed,
And motives un-pure,

Sucked in its allure.
Ashes to ashes,

As the fire burns your bones
It's consumed with lust.
But your ashes rise up,
And the dust comes along
They're blown by the wind,
Which in turn makes them strong.
Dust clings to ashes,
And in the shadow they form
You realize the devil
Has now been reborn.

"Rock-A-By-Fire"

Hush little baby
Don't say a word,
Forget the lies
You might have heard.
Born with silver
Spoon in hand,

Every demand.
Shut the door
Turn off the light,
Let the demons
Creep in your sight,
Around the fire
They dance and prey,
On little children dead
Throughout the day.
The treetops are swaying

And demons consume you
Black cross and all.


"In Dreams"

Once Upon a time
A long, long time ago,
When the world was covered
With the purest whitest snow,
And the mermaids
Leapt out of the sea
To bask on the rocks; 
Statues to be,
And the fairies fluttered
Through the cloudless sky,
As the dolphins learned
How they could fly,
When at the end of every rainbow
You could find a pot of gold,
And you could believe
All you were told,
You called out to me
As if in a dream,
My prince in shining armor,
Or so you would seem,
But a fire broke lose
And the sky filled with smoke,
And with a start
I awoke.


"Goddess"

You look at me
As if I'm an angel,
And I wonder
Who you could have
Mistaken me for...
Who is this goddess-queen
That you see to have
Mistaken for me?
Damn, she must be
Something special,
Cause she captured your heart.
I don't deserve you,
You're perfect in every way, 
But thank you all the same
For giving your love to me.


"Rant #2"

Senseless words thrown about,
you look at me
like I just ripped out
your heart.
Maybe I did
but then again,
maybe you deserved it.
You force the poisoned apple
down my blood-filled throat,
and then you expect
that I swallow it.
Every breath you
let me take
is a gift.
But now it's my turn
because I've discovered
that I can live without you
and you can not
live without me.


"Jaded"

Ignorance is my only bliss,
Through jaded lies you seldom see.
The curtain falls, the act is done,
But nothing seems how it used to be.

Precious cancer, spread through my soul,
Conformity, do what you're told,
Same old wishes, new demands,
Same old life, becoming bland.

Caught in the act, scarlet letter,
Fated to hell before you're born,
Even the moon abandons you now,
But don't cry, child, no time to mourn.
There's people dying for a taste of life,
You can have my pleasure if you'll take my pain,
Dreams lost on the way to embellish strife,
Little girl crying out in the rain.
Sanity tossed to the side of the path,
Desolate flowers unfurl at the grave,
Can't fathom the damage the serpent has done,
When you live and breathe your own heart's slave.

Face the fall, Earth's not so hard,
Angelic child out to kill the sun,
Worship the day that lust runs cold,
Behold to truth, a cycle's begun.
Broken hearts are a common flu,
Contagious to all who open up,
Trust runs thin, truth lies to you,
Drink your own blood from a silver cup.
Contaminate, all you touch or see,
The curtain does rise, a new play's begun,
Nothing's different from how it used to be,
Yet you realize the past was much more fun.
