"Only Mere Words"

Friend
A mere word
A word which can’t explain the real depth of a friendship
For there is so much more,

A friend is there beside you when you have everything
With you in your mansion
And still there when the walls are crumpled
Still there when you have nothing

A friend is someone real
Someone whom silence does not bother
And someone always ready to talk
Someone whom will listen

A friend is someone you can work with
Someone you can explain things to
Someone honest
Caring
And Kind

A friend is someone who is willing to bear some of your pain
When you’re down
And someone willing to let you bear theirs

A friend is someone you have a link with
A link so strong
That words cannot give a worthy description.

A friend is someone you love

A friendship is something, which no one should take for granted
Something everyone should experience
And something no one should forget

A friend is a person
A friendship a bond
Yet they are only words
Mere words
Which cannot begin to describe
What a friend

Means to me.

"The Creator"

He created the sunshine and the rain
He created joy and the pain

He always creates something
For something else

A husband for a wife
Patience to endure strife

The fish for the sea
The air for you and me

Friendship to give hope
Cleanliness for soap

Trials to build strength
Rulers to measure length

Summer to follow spring
Voices with which to sing

Songs to help us praise
Children for us to raise

He always creates something
For something else

"O Place of Memories"

O place of fun, play, and work
O place where I have met friends and jerks
O place where I have both frowned and smiled
O place where many have grown up from being a child

O place where I have seen people look down in shame
O place in which I have played many a game
O place where I have had times of both good and bad
O place where I have seen and been mad

O place that has taught me to persevere and give
O place that has taught me to grow up and live
O place that has heard many a person yell
O place to you, I bid farewell

"A Poem of Love"

For me to have your love
Is to have the something I do not understand
Or deserve
It is as if I have day and night together

And just to know you is to know what other men
Feel in their dreams
But to receive your love also is to know what
Angles feel in heaven

To be able to close my eyes and see your face
Is to receive some of the Lords grace and mercy

But to receive your love is to have the
Breath of life breathed into me
To walk for the first time
And to just close my eyes and feel the sun

To love you in return
Is to understand the joy of life
For without you
I would try to speak but have no voice
Try to walk but have no feet
Try to live but have not life itself

To be in love with you is to have the stars and moon and the sky surround me
And with this love I cannot imagine how other
Men can live without it

For to know you is to walk but not
Feel the pain in my feet
And to fall but not feel the landing

And to love you
Is so amazing my mind is not large enough
And does not have the ability to write my feelings from the pen onto paper
For what mind and what hand can relay
Such love from the heart to the page

And only the soul can understand even a piece of
Heaven
So what brain can comprehend my love for you

For you are more to me
Than love is to love itself
More to me
Then eyes or hands
Or lips
Or money or food
More to me than a happy mood
More to me,
Than life itself

"The Little Tree On the Corner of Blake and Burns"

I saw him
Everyday I saw him saw him running,
Jogging past.
Everyday I saw him pass the little tree on the corner of Blake and Burns.
Everyday he ran.

He would always tap the tree as he passed,
He was a good runner
Fast and strong, and at first, he was quite young.

Then as he continued to jog,
The tree got older.
                          Time passed.
The leaves fell, then grew, then fell once more.

It started to lean to one side,
As he jogged by.
It lost branches, and its bark shriveled.

He started to slow down,
But he still always jogged
And the tree was always there.

Then one day it cracked,
It cracked and fell.
And the little tree on the corner of Blake and Burns no longer stood.

He did not pass anymore he no longer jogged.
And the tree was dragged away.

"For Tamara"

She is a girl whose beauty goes far beyond looks,
for her beauty comes the heart
She is cheerful, pure, uplifting, and fun to be around.
She is there to talk to,
   there to care.
She is the girl with many friends,
The girl with blonde hair.

Tamara will go from crazy to calm
Quickly.
And she will go from happy to angry
Slowly.

She is the kind of girl, whom we would take for granted as a friend,
But through everything will be there to the end.
She is happy enough to laugh,
Innocent enough to not understand
And loving enough to share
This girl with blonde hair.

She is considerate enough to be concerned over how others feel
and generous enough that she would give her last meal

A true friend in this girl I know,
a girl with a wonderful smile, and glow.

Tamara is a person, whom will always be my friend,
Because as far as the other side of the earth may seem to me,
A friendship can overcome any ocean, country, or sea.

And as fast or as slow as death may come
Or as good or bad as life may be
I will try to always be there for you
And you will always mean a lot to me.

For life can end,
And separate some friends,
But death is just a door to greater things
And friendships never end,
Friends can only end the friendships.

And this is one person, whom will always be your friend,
In trials and troubles, in life and in death
Forever.

Love You & Happy Birthday Tamara-girl
Your Friend,

"Friendship Is Better If It Includes Two"

When darkness overclouds you
and your heart is full of pain
Always just remember
he will always be the same

You can lean on him if you need to
you can consider him a friend
He will never leave you nor forsake you
he’ll always be there till the end

And though I am not the best
and though I make more mistakes than few
I wish to always be there- so you can lean on me
and if possible, so I can lean on you

-My love goes out to all of you
