"A Silent God"
When your going through some trials
The burdens are hard to bear
You call out to God
But it seems He isn't there.
In the presence of a silent God
There's nothing you can do
But put your faith in Jesus
And know He'll see you through.
If He answered plain and clear
Every time you called His name
You'd never soar to heights unknown
Your faith would stay the same.
We know that it's the wings of faith
That carry us above
The lonely, hurting trials of life
To God's perfect, peaceful love.
"Angels Stand In Awe"
When you make that glorious entry
To that city bright and fair
And when you've seen your Saviour
You know He's waiting there.
When you've knelt before Him
A hundred thousand years or so
Then you start your search
For the friends you used to know
I'll be there, my voice blended
With that choir around the throne
There'll be no angels singing
For they won't know the song.
We'll sing about the Lamb's own blood
That redeemed us from our sin
How we asked Jesus into our hearts
And how He willingly came in.
The angels will just stand in awe
Of how we made it through
But they will never sing our song
That's just for me, and you.
"God Is So Good"
The things that God gives are too numerous to say
He's been so good don't you see.
So many good friends, His love has no end
And now He's given you to me.
My life was so drear, I had no one near
To share all my hopes and my dreams.
Then you came along, filled my heart with song
Now I know what love really means.
I'll spend my lifetime being thankful you're mine
I'll be the best wife you could ever dream of.
Daily I'll pray that God leads our way
As we strive to reach Heaven above.
"I Walk Alone"
There's a special place I love to go
It holds memories sweet and tender
Life was good and love was real
But now, I just remember.
I walk alone in rain or sun
Down mountain roads I wander
Memories flood my aching heart
Along the way I ponder.
I remember so well that Sept. day
When you asked me to be your bride
You slipped a ring upon my hand
With tears of joy we cried.
I was yours and you were mine
We promised to love each other only
But then one day God called you home
Now I walk alone and lonely.
"I Walked Alone Again"
I walked alone again today
As I've done in the past
Hopes and dreams, they always come
But seems they never last.
I thought we'd walk together
Hand in hand around this lake
Instead I walked alone again
My heart will surely break.
I spoke your name into the wind
And hoped somehow you'd hear
Through tears and smiles, across the miles
And know I'm waiting here.
As I watch the rippling water
The sun glistening on the lake
I wonder if your somewhere too
Your heart about to break.
"What if" we'd met and fell in love
How good our life could be
Do you ever wonder what "might of been"
When you walk alone and think of me?
I walked alone again today
So lonely, sad and blue
With every step that I took
I was thinking about you.
"I Miss You"
I remember the time We spent together
Every word, every look, every kiss
I remember the way I felt when we met
Those are the things that I miss.
The way it felt when you held me in your arms
How my heart beat so fast when we touched
The look of love in your eyes, when you looked at me
And I wondered why you love me so much.
This time we're apart, though it's not really long
Will seem like an eternity
With longing, I wait for you to return
To spend a lifetime with me!
"Look Into My Heart"
If my heart were an open room
That you could walk into
Do you ever wonder what you'd see
If you walked in, to view?
If it were a book to read
If before you were it's pages
Would you read words of love and joy
Or would tears have stained them through out the ages?
If it were a mountain scene
Would you feel gentle breezes
Would there be flowers all around
And everything that pleases?
If it were a sleepy village
Would you hear children's chatter
Would there be tree lined streets
And all those things that matter?
If you would walk in to my heart
I'd open up the door
You'd find it full of love for you
You'd want to roam no more.
"My Internet Friend"
I thank God for this computer of mine
And for the friend that I met online
I'm so thankful for the internet
And the personals ad, through which we met.
We share our lives in a most special way
With a click of the mouse when we've something to say
Sometimes I log on to ICQ
To see who's on line, hoping it's you.
When you see my name and a message you send
I'm always happy we can chat again
I love writing to you, such a special friend
I hope this friendship never will end.
Someday we'll meet, it's meant to be
I'll look at you, and you at me
We'll smile at each other, our hands will clasp
The moment we've been waiting for... at last!
"Who's Been Tampering With My Mirror"
Who's been tampering with my mirror
It doesn't look the same
When I look in, someone else
Is looking out again.
It sure looks like my mother
But how can that be
She went home to be with God
The only one here is me.
I know my hair is not that gray
My figure is quite slim
When I look in the mirror
I wonder where I've been.
I didn't see the changes
I wonder when they came
My body's getting older
But my mind is still the same.
"You Gave Me Your Heart"
You gave me your heart
You gave me your name
And now my life
Will never be the same.
You're my best friend and lover
My confidant
You always seem to know
Exactly what I want.
I love the way you love me
The way you whisper my name
I love the way your hands know
How to make me break out in flame.
My arms long to hold you
My lips tremble with desire
My body aches for your sweet touch
So you can put out the fire.
