To experience the intensity of the sun
on your face
and have it radiate a warmth
only exceeded by that which exists in your heart.
To unlock your mind
and have it come alive
and possess only wondrous thoughts,
full of intrigue
and possibility.
To fearlessly consider a dream
and recognize that it is yours to pursue.
To share a love
with depth, with realness,
that which grew from the seed of friendship
because it was nourished
with caring
and longing to give.
To feel the gentle touch of hands
that could caress your skin
or your soul
and they do.
To receive a sincere smile
and to return that smile
as the most natural response.
To laugh out loud
feeling your chest
gasping for air
as your eyes release tears,
those of undiluted joy.
Dancing under stars
blissfully unaware,
feeling a cool breeze
against the sweat of your body,
imagining you may never cease.
Walking down a dirt road,
effortlessly
floating, skipping, spinning
Surrounded in vibrancy,
intoxicated by the prolific promise
of just being,
So high.
So exhilarated.
So glad for this day,
for this life.
