"Lies"
Plainly staring back as the words tear through the heart
Like a spear.
The laughter echoing through the mind when alone
Cursing every tear.
Running away while standing still building a wall
To protect.
Killing love, hope and fear
Having no effect.
Being a part of something never meant to be
Ever.
Closing and locking all doors, pulling the shades
Forever.
Walking blindly into the street
Slowly moving.
Fighting endlessly the wars
Always losing.
Standing in a circle surrounded by flames
Forever burning.
Giving to the heartless thief all I have
Endlessly yearning.
Eyes and ears closed while going through life
Falling down.
Telling the lies wanted to hear
And awarded a crown.
Going back to where gunned down before
Again to be shot.
Helping those who stab in the back
Caring not.
Looking down at the world flying high
Part time.
Walking through the door to the room filled with love
Committing a crime.
Purposely murdering the heart
Turning black.
Standing on the side of the road dodging bullets every day
Going back.
Standing alone in a large crowd
Silently screaming.
Happiness and laughter the only thing known,
Dreaming.
