"Jester"
Jester, oh mighty jester of the royal crowd and court
make us laugh oh jester, make us grin, make us feel good again
take us out of this world we call home
and place us where we want to roam
in the fields of giddiness and love
knocked over by nothing but exhaustion from good times
Jester, oh jester, why have you gone away
can't you see that the world needs you now
can't you feel the sadness that shakes us all
jester, oh jester in places away from us you live
in times and lands of happiness and days of joy full
we cry for you now to resurrect our hearts
from the dreary life they lead
Jester. Are you dead? Do you not hear?
Jester, oh mighty jester what holds you from us
what keeps your kindness to humanity from our grace
where are the children's smiles that you know you can bring
what have become of the ones who's your touch saved from death
Jester, you are our saviour
Cry tears all, cry and know that he is gone.
Jester is dead and all of us know
that the only happiness now is in the memories we have
Memories.
